Microclimate Foods: An Ojai Tasting — Fall 2026

An Invitation to Local Ojai Businesses

Saturday, November 21, 2026·Earthtrine Farms, Ojai, CA·50 Guests

DEAR BUSINESS OWNER,

I'm writing to invite you into something I believe is bigger than a single dinner. Microclimate Foods: An Ojai Tasting — an intimate 10 - Course Tasting seasonal dinner at Earthtrine Farms on November 21, 2026 — is the opening chapter of an ongoing series celebrating the extraordinary food culture of this valley.

I'm inviting a small group of Ojai businesses to sponsor the series — not as advertisers, but as named co-creators of Ojai's culinary story. There are three ways to participate, and each one matters.

Why This Matters Now

“Ojai already has everything a Michelin-starred table needs. What's been missing is a documented culinary identity.”

The farms are here. The microclimates are extraordinary. The Pixie tangerine, the Channel Islands seafood, the regenerative growers working in this valley — the ingredients for world-class cuisine already exist in Ojai. What's been missing is a documented culinary identity: a story that says, clearly, this is what Ojai tastes like, and why it matters.

Microclimate Foods: An Ojai Tasting is the first public declaration of that identity. Every sponsor, every producer, every collaborator in this event is being written into the founding document of Ojai's food scene. The guide, the event series, the digital record — this is the story food writers, travel editors, and future visitors will discover when they ask: what is the food of Ojai?

Businesses that support this series now are not sponsors in the transactional sense. They are founding members of a culinary movement.

The Microclimate Foods Series

This is not a one-time dinner. Microclimate Foods: An Ojai Tasting is designed as a recurring seasonal series — each event tied to the current harvest, the current season's producers, and the ongoing documentation of Ojai's culinary identity. Sponsors who participate in the inaugural event become the founding partners of the series.
